Steadying Presence Daily Check-Ins

Sometimes the hardest part of recovery is not knowing what to do. It is staying connected to what you already know when real life gets hard.

Steadying Presence Daily Check-Ins offer a simple, personal layer of support for the everyday moments where recovery actually has to be lived.

Five days a week, you can send me a brief voice message sharing what is happening in your recovery that day. You might be working through a trigger, trying to hold a boundary, noticing an old pattern, dealing with a difficult interaction, trying to follow through on something you know is important, or simply feeling stuck and unsure what to do next.

I will respond with a brief personal voice message to help you slow down, steady yourself, reconnect with the work you are already doing, and discern what may be most important in that moment.

Why “Steadying Presence”?

Recovery happens in ordinary life, not only during a coaching session or a deeper conversation.

There are moments when you may understand something intellectually but struggle to access it when you are overwhelmed, discouraged, activated, confused, or pulled toward an old response. In those moments, what helps most is not always another hour-long session.

Sometimes you simply need a steadying presence.

Someone who can help you pause long enough to notice what is happening, reconnect with what you know to be true, and find your footing again.

That is what these check-ins are designed to provide.

How It Works

Monday through Friday, you may send one brief voice check-in each day. Your message should generally be about three minutes or less.

I will respond with a short voice message, usually around two minutes, offering reflection, encouragement, a question to consider, or help connecting the situation back to the recovery work you are already doing.

The goal is not to solve everything in a few minutes, and it is not to turn each difficult moment into another full coaching session.

The goal is to help you pause, become grounded, and identify the next healthy step.

Over time, these small moments of support can help you stay more connected to your own insight and growth. Recovery is often shaped in the in-between moments: the conversation you handle differently, the boundary you keep, the feeling you notice before reacting, the pattern you finally recognize, or the choice you make to return to what is healthy rather than slipping automatically into what is familiar.

Steadying Presence Daily Check-Ins are meant to support you in those moments—one day, one check-in, and one next step at a time.

A Healthy Level of Support

Steadying Presence Daily Check-Ins are not therapy, crisis intervention, emergency support, or unlimited messaging. They are also not intended to replace individual sessions when something needs more time, deeper processing, or careful discernment.

There may be times when my response is simply, “This needs more space. Let’s bring it into a session.”

That is part of healthy support too.

The purpose of Daily Check-Ins is not to make you dependent on a response. It is to help you become more able to recognize what is happening, reconnect with yourself, and practice choosing your next step with greater clarity and intention.

Not Sure What You Need?

If you know you need support but are not sure where to begin, the Come Awake Recovery Roadmap™ may be the best place to start.

The Roadmap is a personalized assessment and discernment process designed to help you step back and look at the larger picture of your recovery. Together, we identify where you are now, what has already been strengthened, what may still need attention, and what kind of support may make the most sense moving forward.

Rather than simply adding another book, program, group, or appointment, the Roadmap is designed to help you develop a clearer and more intentional direction for your next season of recovery.
